Facing Cancer?
Life with Cancer® Can Help.
Facing Cancer can be one of the most significant challenges a person
encounters. Life with Cancer has been an integral part of the health care
community since 1986, working to help people face the challenges of living with
cancer by providing information, education and support. Funded primarily by
community contributions, our programs and services are offered free of charge to
people with cancer, their relatives and friends, regardless of where treatment
is received.
Support
and Education
Life with Cancer offers seminars, support groups,
individual and family educational meetings, and workshops to provide assistance
in times of crisis, information on specific cancers, and to help people get the
information and support they need to cope with a cancer diagnosis in the best
way possible.
Complementary
Approaches and Alternative Medicine Guide
Life with Cancer
offers a variety of classes to supplement medical treatments and make your
day-to-day life easier. Classes offer an opportunity to try creative or physical
outlets to access the mind, body and spirit. Experience with art, music,
writing, or movement is not necessary. All that's needed is a sense of adventure
and a willingness to explore.
A guide to Complementary and Alternative Methods from the American Cancer Society is listed.
Speakers
Bureau
This service provides free lectures by health-care
professionals, cancer survivors and caregivers for community groups and
professional organizations.
Children
& Teens
Regardless of who's diagnosed with cancer, the whole
family is affected. Your children may be taking it the hardest. Children need to
know they are not alone during this tough time. Life with cancer has trained
professionals, programs and services that can help.
Information
Our staff provides individuals, family
members, concerned community groups or organizations, and healthcare
professionals information about cancer, its diagnosis and treatment, and the
impact it has on the family.

Life with Cancer staff makes referrals to
hospital and community resources to help support patients and family members
with the multiple challenges they face after a cancer diagnosis.
