A list of health care jobs you may not think of There are many opportunities for those who want to enter the health care field. Below is a quick vignette of some of the positions available, as well as a brief summary of each job.
Cardiovascular Technician. Cardio technicians assist physicians in their diagnosis and treatment of the cardiac and vascular systems. Cardiovascular technicians conduct tests to pinpoint problems with a patient's cardiovascular system.

Occupational Therapy Aide. Occupational therapy (OT) aides take care of patients with mental, emotional or physical disabilities. They work with others to assist these individuals with their daily activities. OT aides help occupational therapists by observing the status of each patient.
Speech Pathologist. These professionals provide specialization in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language problems. The speech pathologist works closely with the speech audiologist. After diagnosing a problem, the speech pathologist prepares a plan for helping the patient adjust to the impairment.
