Felicia Owusu-Sampah, RN

Emergency Department, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital

• Felicia has been a nurse since 1991 years and she has happily spent all those years at Inova.

• Coming from what she calls a "culture of nurturing" and being the last of six children, Felicia knew it was important to be able to count on other people. Nurturing comes very naturally to Felicia; it is second nature to her. Nursing was her ideal career, so while she completed nursing school at Northern Virginia Community College, she worked as a Clinical Technician at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Felicia began her career as an RN in rehabilitation nursing, helping people whose lives were changed by spinal cord, head and other traumatic injuries. She currently works in the exciting and rewarding field of emergency nursing, which gives her many challenges.

• Felicia enjoys shopping for her children, watching movies and reading. Her family is themost important thing in her life; she considers her family her anchor.
