• Jean has been a nurse since 1967 - that's 37 years.

• She has been an Inova nurse for the past 5 years.

• Jean became a nurse because she has "always enjoyed doing things for other people." She became an Inova nurse because she heard good things about the way we support our nurses and provide excellent opportunities for education. Through Inova's tuition assistance program, Jean has been able to complete her bachelor's degree and is currently working towards a master's degree in health systems management at George Mason University. She is also studying to become a board-certified lactation consultant.

• Jean's hobbies include hiking and biking with Frank, her husband of 35 years. They have been to Yellowstone National Park and through the Shenandoah Parkway.
