• Sharon has been a nurse for 28 years.

• She has been an Inova nurse for 9 ½ years.

• Sharon became a nurse because of her desire to help. She wanted her career to be meaningful not only to her, but also to those around her. Sharon knew she wanted to work at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital at her first interview, as the friendly atmosphere and the easy commute impressed her! She enjoys working at a community hospital where she knows all of her co-workers and receives encouragement from other nurses as well as the nursing administration. Her schedule gives her the opportunity to spend time at home with her family as well as enough time to dedicate to her profession..

• Sharon enjoys gardening, reading, and attending seminars, as well as crafting projects and reading novels in her spare time.
