Mother-Baby Nursing Internship/Fellowship
The Mother-Baby Nursing Internship/Fellowship is designed to help the participant acquire basic skills and knowledge essential to mastering the principles of family-centered care working with mother-baby couplets during the first days of life. Course goals include development of critical thinking skills to assess the family unit, physical and psychosocial assessments, planning and implementing specialty care and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. The course includes lectures, self-study, skills lab and clinical experience with a preceptor.
