A $75,000 planning grant was awarded to Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. The grant is to be used to establish a technology infrastructure at the hospital to help hospitalized children use the Internet to maintain connections with their homes, schools and communities. The grant came from 1998 World Congress of Technology, Meyer Foundation with help from community volunteer, Dr. Ed Bersoff of BTG.Inova Juniper Program received a Title IV Grant (Ryan White) to expand services to women and children living with HIV disease. The Inova Regional Trauma Center was awarded a grant from the motor vehicle administrations in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia to evaluate aggressive driving as part of the jurisdictions' Smooth Operator Project.
