What is a chest X-ray film?
A chest x-ray is an x-ray that outlines the heart, lungs and ribs. Among other things, it is a diagnostic tool that assesses the shape and size of the heart. It detects the presence of fluid in the lungs and an increased heart size, which may reflect the presence of heart problems.
