Some people are able to eliminate sleep-related problems by adopting the following habits:
- avoid frequent naps
- restrict alcohol and caffeine before bedtime
- go to bed at a regular time
- be aware of side effects from medications
- exercise daily, but not immediately before bedtime
- sleep in a quiet, well-ventilated room
- see your physician for ongoing sleep problems
