Sleep Evaluation and Studies
The Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Sleep Disorders Program uses the following studies to evaluate sleep disorders:
Polysomnogram
An overnight sleep study to observe and record
nighttime sleep.
Multiple sleep latency test (MSLT)
A daytime study to assist in diagnosing narcolepsy and to
access daytime sleepiness.
Nasal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) titration
An overnight study to determine the effective level of air pressure to
maintain an open airway.
