“No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor is given by what he gave.” -- Calvin Coolidge
Volunteerism is the willingness of people to work on behalf of others without the expectation of personal or tangible gain. For nearly 30 years, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital’s volunteers have provided a special care and compassion to the diverse communities we serve. Each day, a corps of active, enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers make a difference in the lives of others. Our volunteers are the key to bringing people together, creating healthier families and healthier communities.
More than 400 volunteer members support the day-to-day operations of Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, contributing close to 50,000 hours of service annually. And while the reasons for volunteering may be different for each person, the results are the same – a meaningful opportunity to help and serve others, meet new friends with similar interests, performing satisfying work and developing new skills.
