As part of our neurosurgery services, surgeons work closely with other specialists to ensure patients have access to a range of expertise. In addition, we offer dedicated Neuroscience Intensive Care and Intermediate Care Units staffed with nurses and technologists specially trained in the care of patients who have neurosurgical problems.
Interventional NeuroradiologyInterventional neuroradiology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease in the central nervous system, brain, spine, head and neck using minimally invasive technology and advanced imaging for guidance. At Inova Fairfax Hospital, our dedicated specialists use the most sophisticated technology to perform procedures including cerebral aneurysm embolization and coiling, carotid and vertebral stenting, balloon angioplasty for vasospasm, intra arterial thrombolysis therapy for stroke and vertebroplasty.
