Urogynecology
The urogynecologists who practice at Inova Fairfax Hospital Women's Center are subspecialty-trained physicians who specialize in the care of women with pelvic floor disorders. We treat:
- urinary incontinence (loss of bladder control)
- voiding dysfunction (inability to urinate or difficulty urinating)
- pelvic organ prolapse (droppage of the female organs), including:
- cystocele (dropped bladder)
- rectocele (dropped rectum)
- uterine prolapse (dropped uterus)
- vaginal vault prolapse (dropped vagina after hysterectomy)
- enterocele (dropped small intestine)
Our center offers exclusive gynecologic surgeons and gynecologic operating rooms exclusively designed for these specialized procedures. Our skilled nursing teams receive high patient satisfaction scores. And we have access to the latest in clinical trials and state-of-the-art technology, including the da Vinci surgical system® with its highly-precise, minimally-invasive features.
Treatment options include a variety of non-surgical and surgical therapies. Each woman's unique needs are best assessed only after a thorough evaluation by an urogynecologist. To learn more, or to find a physician, call HealthSource at 703-750-8800.
