Ronald McDonald House
The Northern Virginia, Ronald Mcdonald House is a home-away-from-home for families of children being treated in area hospitals. The house has many bedrooms and common areas that include living rooms, a dining room, kitchens, a common food pantry, playrooms, TV rooms and laundry facilities. Outside, families can enjoy a large deck, playgrounds, gardens, and a walking path. Van service is available to and from the hospitals. The program is supported by volunteers, staff and the spontaneous interchange between resident families.
