When you visit someone in the hospital, remember all patient care areas are "quiet zones." Our goal is to provide a quiet environment that promotes patient rest and healing. To do this, we must limit the number of visitors and visiting times. Most patients have roommates. When visiting a patient, remember the roommate's need for rest and privacy. Visiting hours vary with each unit.

Please Note: Many units must limit the number of visitors or restrict visits by children younger than age 12. Please check with the nurse before entering. Because many patients are especially susceptible to infection, do not visit if you have signs of a cold, flu or any other infectious disease. During selected hours, visitors may be required to wear a "visitors' badge."
Waiting Areas We have comfortable waiting areas for patients' families and friends in the Tower lobby, the Inova Fairfax Hospital Women's Center/Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children lobby and in other locations throughout the hospital. Ask at the information desks for directions.
