Post-Adoption Parenting Workshop
A Window Into Your Heart: Strengthening Your Child's Social and
Emotional Development
Participants will learn social and emotional milestone development
for children, ways parents can enhance their child's development by
strengthening attachments, demystifying temperament and encouraging
natural talents and positive social interactions. The instructors will use real-life
examples to augment the workshop.

Pre-Adoption Parenting Series
Understanding the Unique Needs of a Recently Adopted Child from Birth to 4 Years of Age
Learn the many ways an internationally adopted child differs from a child born and raised in the United States. The class will discuss the medical, developmental, nutritional and behavioral differences that parents should understand before adopting a child and offer tips for the child's best care and safety.

Post-Adoption Parenting Workshop
Potty Training: A Stress-Free, Three-Day Program
Participants will
learn how to assess when their child is ready for
potty training and gain
practical advice on how to make toilet training
a positive, bonding experience
for both parent and child. Parents will
have the opportunity to ask questions
and learn strategies to address
their child's unique developmental needs.

6th Annual International Adoption Center
Family Picnic and Silent Auction
Gather and celebrate with families who have participated in the
center's pre- and post-adoptive services at the annual family
picnic and silent auction.
Bring a basket full of goodies to raffle off in the silent auction. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Clean Water Project in Honduras.

Attachment: What Is It and How It Affects Your Family
Participants will
learn about ways to facilitate attachment to their
children. Practical suggestions and techniques to avoid will be
discussed. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

5th Annual International Adoption Center Halloween
Open House
Wear your silliest or scariest costume to the International
Adoption Center's "Spookfest." As always, costumes for the children
are required and strongly encouraged for the parents.
