Our 20-bed pediatric oncology unit is dedicated to the care of children with suppressed immune systems and other complications resulting from cancer or its treatment. We emphasize the innovative use of outpatient therapies, and offer a variety of support services for the entire family.

A Comprehensive Team Approach
The nurses in our pediatric oncology unit are specially trained and certified in
oncology, and all of our services are provided in a child-centered environment that provides
compassionate support for the entire family. In addition, the physicians at Inova
Fairfax Hospital for Children are supported by multidisciplinary teams in 40
subspecialties who are available to discuss patient diagnoses, treatment options
and after-care.
