Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is Inova Loudoun Hospital’s private 100-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility. It offers intermediate and long-term nursing care, as well as a wide assortment of rehab services for those recovering from strokes, orthopaedic surgeries, etc.
Intermediate and Long-Term Care
For individuals who require intermediate or long-term nursing
care, Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is committed to encouraging each
resident’s maximum independence and quality of life, and promoting the highest
practicable physical, mental and psychological well being. All this under the
guidance of physicians and skilled nursing care providers.

Short-Term Rehabilitation Services
Following acute hospitalization for such instances as a stroke
or surgery, some patients need short-term rehabilitation or intensive medical
management services to regain their independence. Loudoun Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center offers nursing services and a progressive array of
rehabilitation services, including our own aquatic therapy program. All are
geared toward helping residents achieve maximum physical, functional and
cognitive potential. We offer:

Speech-Language Pathology
Loudoun Healthcare’s speech-language pathology program is
accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and offers
comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for individuals with such
conditions as:
- Speech/language deficits
- Neurological disorders
- Anoxia
- Head and neck cancer
- Vocal pathologies
- Eating and swallowing disorders
- Dementia/memory deficits
Our speech-language pathology program provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. Each program is tailored to the patient’s communication needs. The therapists work closely with the patient and family to develop a comprehensive plan to achieve the highest level of functional independence. Treatment modalities utilized by speech-language pathologists may include:
- Video fluoroscopic swallow studies
- Articulation training
- Accent reduction training

- Voice re-training
- Feeding/swallowing intervention

Aquatic Therapy
Inova Loudoun Hospital's aquatic therapy pool is a specially
designed shallow indoor pool maintained at a warm
temperature. The pool is accessible to all individuals with disabilities or
injuries using a ramp or hydraulic lift. You do not need to know how to swim.
Some common conditions treated with pool therapy include:

- Post-surgical weight-bearing limitations
- Pain syndromes
- Neurological impairment
Aquatic therapy is part of our outpatient rehabilitation services. Each program is tailored to the patient’s need. The benefits of pool therapy include:
