Making Health Care Decisions
As an adult in this hospital, one of your rights is to be involved in the decisions made about your care. Your illness, treatment and the likely outcome will be explained by your doctor. He or she will answer your questions and make recommendations regarding your medical treatment. You have the right to ask for the opinion of a second doctor. You may refuse any treatment. You are encouraged to discuss your condition and your choices for treatment with your family or others who are close to you.
