While you are a patient at our hospital, we want you to know what to expect from us and what we can do to help you and your family.
As a patient, you are entitled to the right to:
- considerate and respectful care
- be well informed about your health and care
- make informed decisions
- participate in your care plan
- consent to or decline treatment
- consent to or decline participation in research studies
- privacy and safety
- confidentiality
- access information in your medical records
- contact the patient representative
- have a family member, representative or your physician notified of your admission
- be free from unnecessary or inappropriate restraints
- receive hospital services without discrimination on the basis of any factor as to which discrimination is prohibited by applicable law
- appropriate assessment and management of pain
