Robert Silver Named Administrator of Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children

Falls Church, VA— Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children is pleased to welcome Robert Silver as its new administrator, effective July 30.
Silver has more
than 20 years experience in health care leadership. Most recently he served
as Chief Operating Officer at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis,
TN, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a
225-bed pediatric medical center. He also played a key role in the planning and
development of a new hospital expansion to be completed in 2010.
Prior to
his position as COO, Silver spent five years as the Vice President of
Operations for Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, where his accomplishments
included enhancing revenue and overseeing hospital construction projects. He
also served as Vice President of Operations at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s
Hospital in St. Louis, MO, as well as Administrator, Division of Otolaryngology,
Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill.

comes to children’s hospitals is extensive, and we’re confident his leadership
skills and creativity will be valuable in serving our youngest patients and
their families.”
Silver holds a Masters degree in Hospital and Healthcare
Administration from St. Louis University and a Bachelor degree in Health Arts
from the University of St. Francis in Illinois.
