Kimberly-Clark Travels Cross-Country to Promote Infection Prevention; Inova
Only Stop in Washington, DC Area
Falls Church, VA— On Monday and Tuesday, employees at Inova Fairfax Hospital
will have the unique opportunity to board the Kimberly-Clark Health Care HAI
Education Bus, which is traveling nationwide to educate healthcare professionals
about preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAI). Inova Fairfax Hospital
will be the bus’s only stop in the Washington, DC
area.

For two days next week, Inova’s employees can take advantage of
the free educational resources provided by Kimberly-Clark. Caregivers will learn
best practices on infection management by attending sessions held at Inova’s
Physician’s Conference Center or by using the interactive classroom on the bus.
The 45-foot customized bus includes workstations and is outfitted for video and
audio presentations.
The bus tour is part of a larger initiative
by Kimberly-Clark called “Not On My Watch,”
a national infection prevention
campaign for healthcare professionals. The programs include:
• Web-based, continuing medical education (CME) accredited courses that
examine the impact of HAIs, such as ventilator-acquired pneumonia (VAP) and
surgical site infections (SSI)
• Web-based or facilitated continuing
education (CE) programs for nurses and other medical professionals will be
available on the following topics:
