Inpatient Programs
Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is home to the nationally recognized Inova Rehabilitation Center, a 67-bed inpatient center in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. On the unit, patient rooms encircle the nursing station so that patients receive maximum supervision and nurses can respond more quickly to patients' needs.
- In the Brain Injury Program, we use the latest therapeutic modalities to help brain-injured patients improve their cognitive and neurological functioning. A specially designed quiet room provides a safe, soothing environment for agitated patients.
- General Rehabilitation Program We offer individually-focused care for patients who need rehabilitation for skeletal and musculoskeletal injuries, or for degenerative disorders such as multiple sclerosis (MS) or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
- Through the Spinal Cord Injury Program, we provide expert care for traumatic and nontraumatic spinal disorders, including injury, tumors, myelitis and such degenerative diseases as spinal stenosis.
- The Stroke Program helps patients improve their speech, movement, cognitive skills and neurological functioning in the aftermath of stroke, aneurysm or other conditions involving the brain. Our staff has special expertise in evaluating and treating dysphagic patients.
