What Is Physical Rehabilitation Therapy?
Physical rehabilitation therapy promotes healing in people with orthopedic, sports or neurologic conditions, injury, or illness through a variety of comprehensive services:
- Physical therapy (PT) helps restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function.
- Occupational therapy (OT) helps sharpen fine motor skills that allow people to attain the highest level of independence.
- Speech therapy (ST) helps restore the ability to produce and understand the spoken word.
